Lightwave Community Choir Director - Bungay
Is God calling you to community music ministry with children and young people in Suffolk?
The Bungay Benefice consists of the market town of Bungay with the small parishes of Mettingham and Barsham with Shipmeadow.
Lightwave is a Suffolk-wide missional community. We are looking for someone with proven expertise using music and community choirs with children and young people to disciple young Christians and bring people to faith, to work as part of the Lightwave Rural Hub in Bungay.
We are seeking someone who
-
places prayer at the heart of their ministry
-
has a passion for making new disciples
-
will foster Christian community, including small missional groups
-
will develop creative approaches with us, reaching out to schools, families and young people
-
will establish and lead and lead community groups to connect with new people, especially younger people, e.g. choirs in local schools. To include identifying, overseeing, developing and resourcing other leaders.

has significant experience and expertise of using music in mission, with demonstrable experience of running choirs and other similar groups as a way of enabling others to find and grow in faith
-
will create and lead Christian community for and with people who were not previously part of any church

will work in partnership with others in order to fulfil the vision of the Lightwave Rural Hub at Bungay and surrounding areas.
A part-time post funded by a Strategic Development Fund grant for four years.
